LMS students in Mr. Jesus Vera's National History Day class presented their projects to the public. The theme this year is "Debate & Diplomacy in History: Successes, Failures & Consequences." After spending months on their project research, these students were eager to show their hard work to parents who grilled them with questions, helping to prepare them for competing in the South Plains Regional History Day Contest at Texas Tech on March 5th. Our NHD students have become writers, filmmakers, web designers, playwrights, and artists, creating unique contemporary history presentations that will be judged on their historical research, interpretation, and creative expression of the knowledge they've learned on their subject. This experience transforms young minds forever, and LISD is so proud to have the NHD Program. We wish you the best of luck going into your NHD competition. You're in the right place!
