Levelland Middle School TTU/GEAR "Get Excited about Robotics" students completed their season. Four teams attended a zoom call with Texas Tech's Electrical and Computer Engineering Associate Professor Dr. Tanja Karp to run their robot live for two rounds on game day. Students were scored and final results were released this week. Also, teams created and submitted an Engineering Design video that was included in the final score. An SM Energy Engineer helped review the design videos. Levelland Team 1 finished 19th with 176.5 points and Levelland Team 2 finished 20th with 164.5 points. Levelland teams 3 and 4 were worthy competitors for completing the GEAR season. LMS competed with 79 middle school teams across West Texas. Mrs. Rejino stated, "I am proud of all my GEAR students. It takes guts to get in front of the camera to record and perform live in front of someone. Proud of their endurance to follow through with the competition. I look forward to next year's competition and returning GEAR students!" Congratulations to these over-the-top smart students that are leading our future!
