Ninety-one years after “American Gothic” wowed the world, Grant Wood's iconic 1930 painting continues to intrigue viewers of all ages. LMS Art Teacher LeeAnn Jackson couldn't have thought of a better way to have a little fun with an assignment than to make a parody of this famous painting! Her students did a wonderful job and came up with some really creative ideas. Twenty-nine artists had an American Gothic Parody drawing contest, which included three rounds of voting. These are the top four winners, but look at https://www.facebook.com/leeann.p.jackson for many more photos! The American Gothic Parody Winners: 1st place - The Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote, 2nd place - Scooby-Doo and Shaggy, & 3rd place (tie) - SpongeBob and DoodleBob & Eve and Wall E.
