LISD Celebrated Art in School Day to remind you about the power of art education. LISD offers a comprehensive art education program so that every child has the opportunity to create and think critically. We are so lucky that our administrators, school board members, community leaders, and most importantly, parents see the need for quality art education is included in our schools as electives at LMS, LHS, and in the ACE program! Students at LMS with Mrs. Leeann Jackson and at LHS with Mr. Steven Suarez have many tasks throughout the year that help with motor skills, decision-making, risk-taking, and inventiveness. They learn about color, layout, perspective, and balance, which all influence academic work as well. We are so proud of the work these kids do, the creativeness they reach, and the honors earned.
