Single-step word problems are a thing of the past for 5th-grade math students in Mrs. Randi Vidales' math class. Mrs. Vidales #expectsexcellence and her students were caught working in small groups to discuss how to solve challenging, multi-step word problems by debating, evaluating, and creating numerical expressions to solve the problems together. Students used the Read, Draw, Write method to figure out what exactly the question was asking them to find & to come up with the correct solution. Great job kids!
