LMS Art Teacher LeeAnn Jackson shares another fantastic art project! She says," Ninety-three years after “American Gothic” wowed the world, Grant Wood's iconic 1930 painting continues to intrigue viewers of all ages. What better way to have a little fun with an assignment than to make a parody of this famous painting? My students did a wonderful job and came up with some really creative ideas. We had an American Gothic Parody drawing contest, which included three rounds of voting. Fifty-one artists moved on to the second round, which was narrowed down to fifteen for the final round." The American Gothic Parody Winners were: 1st place - Nahla, 2nd place - Jessi, 3rd place (tie) - Isabel and Alijah. To see all the entrees, go to https://www.facebook.com/LevellandMS
Congratulations to all these creative art students!
