LMS Honor Band Members!

LMS Band Director Gary Owens shares that congratulations are in order for these LMS Symphonic Band students that auditioned and made the 2022-2023 Region 16 ATSSB Middle School Honor Band. over 500 students and 16 schools auditioned on Saturday, November 12th in Hale Center for the opportunity to make one of 99 seats in various instruments of the band. Twenty-four LMS students made the Honor Band, which is more than LMS has ever had make the band. And again Mr. Owens had more make the band than any other school. Students have been working on the music for this audition since the beginning of school. Students not making this select group will get to re-audition for the ATSSB All-Region 4A Middle School Band on December 3rd in Shallowater where over a thousand students will be competing including students from our LMS Concert Band. Congratulations to these students for exceeding and to Mr. Owens for continuing to grow his program! Amazing!
