LIFE Grant Awarded!

Every year, our LIFE Foundation comes through for LISD educators. This year LIFE awarded fourteen LISD teachers with grants totaling $5,000.63. LIFE donates money to LISD teachers to make their out-of-the-box ideas come to fruition. LMS Dyslexia Specialist Annie Davis will purchase the Rite Flight Program for all LISD Dyslexia Specialists (Melody Turner, Mandi Campbell & Jeanne Smith) to offer an alternative education program on our campuses. We thank LIFE for helping to fill our classrooms with STEAM activities and helping our students have 21st-Century innovative minds of tomorrow... while having fun! LIFE operates solely on donations and fundraisers. If you would like to help out students and teachers, you can make a LIFE donation at City Bank or Hockley County School Employees Credit Union. Thank you to Lillian Northcutt for bringing the cheerleaders, to Mr. John Barry for bringing the drumline, to Superintendent McCutchen, and to the LIFE Board for helping to make these grants a "big deal."
