GEAR Heading to State!

Levelland Middle School educators Celinda Rejino & James Daniel are proud to announce that they had one GEAR Team place first at the Lubbock Area GEAR “Get Excited About Robotics” meet! GEAR is a TTU STEM Outreach program founded by Dr. Tanja Karp. Mrs. Rejino & Mr. Daniel took 3 teams to the Lubbock Area GEAR competition on April 23d. There were 64 Teams and the Levelland 1 Team placed first to qualify for State playoffs at TTU on April 23rd. The Levelland 1 winning team consisted of Hayden Ewings, Noah Gonzales, Aubrey Sonnenburg, Andy Kim, River Castillo, and Zaida Gatica who will compete with the top 2 and wildcard teams from each GEAR league across West Texas from Amarillo, Lubbock, Wolforth, Midland, and Odessa at Texas Tech University on May 14th.
